Trufant is a definite NO. Holmgren said as much. Jackson they are still holding out hope for but it will be a gametime decision. My bigger worry is Hackett. He has a Hip Flexor and he has not had to play with pain before.

Joej I base this on Hacketts past issues with injury. 2005 training camp when Hackett was fighting for a roster spot he sat out several weeks of camp with a sore hamstring. It got to the point that even Holmgren voiced his frustration in how long it was taking. Holmgren made the comment that the kid has to learn that in football sometimes you have to play in pain . So until I see Hackett on the field after hes been listed on the Injury report (this is the first time) I stand by my statement.

Both Gardner and Hunter were released in the final cut this season

Bob Where did you hear that Gardener was the nickel? That would be good news! He would definitely appear to have the most talent. I wouldnt put it past him to make next years roster if he sticks around. Not that Im thinking about next year already but once we have Green back to push Boulware Trufant a more experienced Jennings Babs Herndon Hamlin and then you throw in Gardener the DBs go from weekness to possible strength of the D. If Williams did tear the ACL this late in this season he likely wont be in the mix anytime near training camp.
