TD run backs on kick-offs. They happen. But two in two games? Thank god for the penalty or we would have never gotten to OT. Maybe a revamping of the special teams starting with that coach is in order in the off season.

Special Teams is definitely a place to start in terms of upgrades IMHO! Could not agree more.

Earlier in the season our special teams were looking pretty good. Then as injuries started to pile up special teams play declined. Even when starters who dont play special teams go down someone is taken off special teams to fill in the starting role. Losing Scobey was our biggest loss on special teams IMO. He was always the first one down field.

I agree with getting a new D-Coordinator or a least a new Defensive Philosophy. Allowing the Bears to convert on 3rd-10 in OT by not blitzing Grossman sickens me. You knew they were going to pass. Blitz and force Grossman to either throw the ball short or throw it away but not give him time to throw the ball 30 yards down field-Game Over!

I agree. Our ST needs some big work in the off season.

i AGREE that the Hawks especially need improvement on D. They gave up way TOO much yardage and this spills off onto the performance of the entire team. With the odff-season here - I am sure Holmgren will be addressing this and other deficiencies

Josh Brown was the least of our kick coverage problems. He was tied for 4th in the NFC in touchbacks.

Tah I am 100% with you on both of your comments. ST was hurt more by size than anything and I think that was partially because of injuries. Also with you on the D line. Size not coaching jurt us. I dont understand the calling for the coaches head right after the season ends. Special teams was far more reliable this year than in years past. If anything get after the conditioning coaches as injuries were the biggest fault this season.

Well both the Special Teams Coach Bob Casullo &amp The Defensive Backs Coach Teryl Austin are GONE. Casullo went back to Tampa where he came from &amp Austin to AZ. I guess they sensed Holmgrens hot breath on their backs(?). At least there will be some new emphasis in both areas.
