12th Man Represented on New Seahawks Jersey

The Seahawks 12th Man is a proud part of the new-look Seahawks jersey, which was unveiled Tuesday. Designed by Nike, the jersey features 12 feathers on the pant leg strip, representing the 12th Man, and there are 12 feathers featured on each side of the neckline. The 12th Man logo is also sewn on the inside back collar of the jersey.

The broad chest graphic outlining the shoulders echoes the stance of a Thunderbird totem, and the Seahawks mark above the heart honors the team.
A feather-pattern graphic on the helmet, in the jersey numbers, and on pants represents natural elements of the Pacific Northwest, again inspired by the coastal Indian art.
The Seahawks logo on the helmet is bigger and bolder, connecting at a point in the back of the helmet.
The jerseys are now made with a hydrophobic material that repels water, maintaining the jerseys’ “clean” look, making them lighter and not bogged down with water weight, which results in better performance. The Nike uniform is also 20% lighter, 50% stronger, and provides more of a shrink-wrap fit than previous versions.

Jerseys will go on sale on April 26 - the first day of NFL Draft - at the Seahawks Pro Shop and on Seahawks.com. The following player jerseys are anticipated to be available: #12 – FAN; #15 – Matt Flynn; #18 – Sidney Rice; #24 – Marshawn Lynch; #29 – Earl Thomas; #31 – Kam Chancellor; #89 – Doug Baldwin.
