"Everybody has information regarding Shauns contract and the cap hit that accompanies it for 2008. What everyone has been forgetting about is the June 1st rule. Teams cutting players after June 1st are allowed to amortize the remaining guaranteed portion over the following year as well.
Should Shauns be cut before June 1st Seattle pays 6.9 million against the cap this year (a net cap loss of 750k).
Should Shaun be cut after June 1st we pay 2.3M this year and 4.9 next year against the cap (saving 2.1 & 600k against teh cap in those respective years).
In light of this I dont see how he is brought back.
My prediction: SA is a June 1st cut.
