I cannot stand the draft being during the week. I used to make a day of it and BBQ the heck out of it..now I have to dash to a bar from work to see it with a bunch of sad people.
Also, what I really really cannot stand is the lack of suprise. The cameras have the draftee on the phone and smiling/crying minutes before he even gets announced. It really takes all the flavor out of it and I wish it remain a secret until his name gets called. Anyone else feel this way??
I feel the same way! it used to be so much better.
I still love it when fans boo the selection of their team when they announce a name of a player the fans did not want their team to pick hillarious.
They have turned the NFL Draft into a clown show.
If you think about it, you'll probably agree with me.
This year we took Thursday and Friday off and tailgated at the house before the draft started! We had a few friends over and did it up right with some ribs and ABTs! We did it this way because we knew the Rams were going to do some horse trading and didn't want to miss a thing!
